Senior QA Engineer

Job description

As a Senior QA Engineer at Somnio Software, you’ll make sure our products work well and also feel right for the people who use them. You’ll join a fast-moving product team on a complex platform with lots of workflows, and your main focus will be exploratory and user-centric testing rather than running test cases.

Your role will be dynamic and impactful. You’ll dig deep into the product, think like a user and an admin, and give the team clear, actionable insights that directly shape the product experience. This is not a test automation role. We’re looking for someone with critical thinking, depth and their own point of view.

We’re searching for #curious and #proactive minds to help us #continue building world-class digital experiences with innovative and modern technologies.

Job requirements

  • Run deep exploratory testing: take an area and go all the way into it, covering edge cases, friction points and inconsistencies.

  • Learn complex workflows and business rules well enough to think like an end user and like an admin.

  • Flag issues even when something “technically works” but the experience falls short, and defend your view with evidence.

  • Decide what to test in a product that changes all the time, focusing on the highest-impact areas instead of trying to cover everything.

  • Deliver actionable findings that state the problem, the impact on users, the evidence and a recommended priority, putting quality ahead of the number of bugs.

  • Mix exploratory testing, continuous validation and light regression as the product evolves.

  • Work directly with the client: ask questions, share progress, ask for feedback and be open about doubts or risks.

Our Perfect Match:

  • Solid senior-level experience in QA, with a strong focus on exploratory and user-centric testing.

  • Strong product sense and the ability to understand complex workflows, business rules and user goals.

  • Depth, curiosity and attention to detail: you’re not satisfied with surface-level testing.

  • A proactive attitude, your own opinions and the confidence to voice them with stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to work on your own in complex, changing products with little guidance.

  • Excellent communication skills in English (B2+ / C1) and comfort talking directly with clients.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in startups or high-velocity product environments.

  • Background in UX or usability testing.

  • Experience working with admin-heavy or B2B SaaS platforms.

Engagement details:

  • Part-time: 20 hours/week

  • 3-month project, with the opportunity to become an ongoing engagement based on performance

  • Start date: ASAP

  • Location: Remote from Anywhere in LATAM

Our Commitment to You:
Work from anywhere - From the mountains or the city, you choose your ideal space
Flex Time - Because we trust your talent, not the clock.
Great Place to Work - Recognized for our culture
Tailored career growth - We accompany you where you want to go
