Job description

We are looking for a Technical Lead Frontend to lead the technical direction and execution of high-impact frontend initiatives. This role is responsible for defining frontend architecture, driving modernization efforts, and ensuring high standards of quality, scalability, and maintainability across complex user-facing applications.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep frontend expertise, strong system design skills, and a solid understanding of backend interactions. You will act as the technical reference point for frontend decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate closely with Product, Backend, and Stakeholders to translate business needs into robust frontend solutions.

Job requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience in software development, with 3+ years in technical leadership roles

  • Strong frontend expertise using React and/or Angular, applied to large-scale, production-grade applications

  • University degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields

  • System Design & Frontend Architecture: Ability to design scalable frontend architectures, define clear boundaries, and document technical decisions

  • Testing & Quality Culture: Proven experience enforcing testing strategies, code reviews, CI integration, and frontend quality standards

  • Strategic Technical Debt Management: Ability to identify, prioritize, and plan frontend refactors without blocking delivery

  • Leadership & Mentoring: Experience guiding frontend engineers, conducting technical reviews, and acting as escalation point for complex issues

  • Frontend Modernization Mindset: Hands-on experience evolving legacy frontend codebases toward modern frameworks, patterns, and tooling

  • Full Stack Understanding: Solid knowledge of backend concepts, APIs, and system interactions to make informed frontend decisions

  • Backend experience with PHP, Node.js, or NestJS, including API design and integration

Nice to have

  • English level B2 or higher, with confidence participating in technical discussions

  • Agile management experience, collaborating in estimations, planning, and delivery processes

  • Exposure to modern frontend frameworks, tools, and ecosystems, beyond the primary stack
